The competitive scene of set 7 has concluded with the Mid-Set Finale that happened during the weekend. The competition was fierce with the top 32 players from North America battling each other for bragging rights and a share of the $20,000 prize pool.
The players battled from Aug 19 to Aug 21 after qualifying via Astral Cup, Jade Cup, and qualifier points. They played 6 games with lobbies being reseeded every 2 games. Following the point distribution from the first day, the top 16 advanced to the second day. After a similar format in the second day, the top 8 advanced to the final day of the event.
Mid-Set Finale event recap
The competition was fierce with the best 8 players in North America displaying great skill and flexibility in their games. However, one particular player that managed to showcase consistent gameplay was Amde, finishing top 4 in 4 out of 6 games and ending the day with 37 points, becoming the set 7 champion.
Amde earned $6,000, a direct spot for the upcoming World Championship later this year, and a spot for the Dragonlands NA Regional Finals. Bertasaurus, Clear, and MD Pockygom earned a spot for the upcoming Dragonlands NA Regional Finals alongside cash prizes.
This is one of the features we've been most excited about, and we're genuinely happy to finally introduce it. Clans are here.
