Clans are here. Build a team, play what you already play, and win something together.

Thomas RuizPublished September 1, 2026

This is one of the features we've been most excited about, and we're genuinely happy to finally introduce it. Clans are here.

The idea is simple enough to say in a sentence: the games you already play should add up to something, and they should add up with the people you already play them with.

What a clan is

A clan is a permanent team. It has a name, a short tag, a crest you design yourself, and a shared wallet called a treasury.

That is genuinely all it is. You do not need to be good at anything in particular, you do not need to play a specific game, and you do not need a schedule. You need a few people you like playing with.

Everything below is about what happens once you have one.

Start with the tag

Tags are two to four characters, and they are unique forever. Once somebody takes VOID, nobody else can ever have it, not this season, not next year.

Reservation is open right now, before clans exist. You pick a tag, design a crest to go with it, and we hold it for you until launch.

Claim your tag →
No clan needed yet. Just the tag.

Reserved tags are held for seven days after launch. If you have not started a clan with yours by then, it goes back in the pool.

Your crest

A crest is three choices: a shape, a colour and a mark. You make it once when you create the clan, and you can change it later.

It shows up everywhere your clan does — the clan page, the leaderboards, match lobbies, next to every member’s name. It is the part of a clan people actually recognize.

More unlocks as your clan levels up: new frames, new gems, a colour for your tag, a banner across the top of your clan page, emotes for clan chat, a nameplate for every member.

Two of them stay out of reach no matter how long you play.

  • The lime gem: Held by the number one clan on the board. It can be used until there's another winner.

  • The prismatic gem: Given to Championship winners, dated to the season, and never taken back.

How it all fits together

There are four parts to a clan, and each one feeds the next. Two minutes here and the rest of this page will make sense on one read.

Identity: who you are. The tag, the crest, the banner, the nameplate every member wears. This is the part other people see, and almost all of it is earned rather than chosen — which is what makes a good-looking clan mean something.

Progress: clan XP and levels. Every ranked match, ladder and tournament any member plays feeds one shared counter. It cannot be bought and it never goes down. Levels unlock the identity above, so playing together is literally what makes your clan look the way it does.

Competition: weekly, monthly, seasonal. The Weekly Clan Cup every week, the Clan Championship every month, three crowns at the end of the season. Your weekly XP is your weekly score, so competing is not a separate activity you have to opt into. You are already doing it.

Economy: the treasury. Prizes come in, entry fees go out, and invited friends pay into it. A shared wallet is what turns a group chat into a team with plans — it can enter tournaments, cover a new member, or save for the Championship.

Read it as a loop. You play the games you were already playing, so your clan earns XP. XP unlocks how your clan looks and sets where it ranks. Rank wins prizes. Prizes fill the treasury. The treasury pays for the next tournament, which is more games, which is more XP.

The thing worth noticing is that nowhere in that chain does anyone have to play differently. No practice nights, no roles to fill, no minimum hours. The matches you were going to play now add up to something that belongs to all of you.

XP is everything you already play

Your clan earns XP from what you already do here. Ranked games count (that is the floor, and it ticks along on its own), but Gamercraft tournaments are where the real XP is. One entry is worth twenty ranked games, and winning one is worth a hundred.

Values are provisional and subject to change until September 7.

Enter a tournament alongside a clanmate and you both earn 50% more from it. That is the single best thing you can do for your clan, and it is also just more fun than entering alone.

Clan XP cannot be bought. Not with deposits, not with packs, not with a subscription — there is no way to spend money and move your clan up. A player who has never spent a dollar and a player who spends every week are worth exactly the same to a clan, and we are not going to change that.

XP does two jobs. It sets your clan’s level, which is what unlocks all the cosmetics above. And it is what you compete with.

The Weekly Clan Cup

Monday to Sunday, your clan's XP for the week is its score. Two boards run side by side: total XP, and XP per active member, so a sharp five-person clan is never buried by a twenty-five-person one. Both boards pay out.

Prizes here are chests, cosmetics, gift cards (RP, Riot Cards, Steam, etc.). The top three clans each week take one, and the number one clan wears the lime crest until the board moves. The point of the weekly is the rank, and finding out on Monday morning where you came.

The first one starts on Monday, September 7, which is the same day clans open. A clan founded that morning has something to lose by Sunday.

The Clan Championship

Last weekend of every month, and it is the one to put in your calendar. Free to enter, and your clan qualifies with three active members.

September 26–27 is the first. One board, every clan on it, 48 hours, and the biggest prize of the month.

October 31 – November 1 is the second, and it is also the Season 0 finale. The top eight clans from the board go into a bracket to finish it.

Rounds are timed windows rather than scheduled matches. When a round opens you have 45 minutes to play your own ranked games, wherever you are and whenever you can get online in that window, and we compare clan totals at the end. Your clanmates do not need to be on your server, in your region, or awake at the same time as you.

Three crowns

At the end of the season we give out three crowns, and they measure three unrelated things — so three different kinds of clan can each win one.

  • Iron Crown: most clan XP across the season. Won by showing up. If your clan never misses a week, this one is yours — you do not have to be the best clan on the platform, you have to be the most reliable.

  • Elite Crown: highest average Gamercraft Score. Won by playing well rather than playing a lot. It is the average, above a minimum number of games, so five good players can take this off a roster of twenty-five.

  • Championship Crown: most points across the two Championships. Won on the day. Two weekends decide it, which makes it the one the competitive clans will be chasing from the first week of September.

Taking all three in one season is the Triple Crown. Nobody has ever done it, because Season 0 is the first season, and with only two Championships in it, this is the most winnable it will ever be.

The prize pool

Season 0 starts at $7,500 in prizes, and it grows as clans play.

Clan Championship · October

Oct 31 – Nov 1

That is a floor, not a total. The number on the board on November 1 will be larger than the number on this page, because it goes up as clans compete. We would rather show you a small number that climbs than a big one that does not move.

What a clan does with money

The treasury is the clan's own wallet, and it does not start empty. Reach five members and a founding bounty lands in it, so there is something in there before you have won anything.

After that it fills from three places. Prize money from the Weekly Cup and the Championship is split: the members who actually scored take their share, and the rest goes into the treasury. Invite a friend who joins and plays, and the reward pays twice: once to you, once into the treasury. And your own results compound, because a funded clan can enter paid tournaments and put the winnings back in.

Officers decide where it goes — entry fees for the next tournament, covering a new member’s first event, or just sitting on it. A treasury with a balance is a clan with plans.

There is a fourth layer coming, and it is the one we are most curious to watch. A clan will be able to pay a member's tournament entry out of the treasury, and set the split on what that member wins. Every clan sets its own, so a player choosing between two clans is also choosing between two offers, and a clan that looks after its members has something concrete to point at. We will have more to say about that soon.

Paid tournaments, from September 15

From September 15 clans can enter paid tournaments. The entry comes out of the treasury and the winnings go back into it, which means a clan can genuinely fund itself off its own results.

The formats are the fun part, some of which will be:

  • Kill Fest: Most kills, clan total.

  • Gauntlet: Longest unbroken win streak, clan-wide, so one person queuing tilted ends it for everybody.

  • Farm Lords: Gold and CS per minute for LOL. For the people who do not win fights and do not need to.

  • Bounty Board: Twelve rotating objectives across a week. Everyone finds one they can close.

You are playing your normal games the whole time. We are just scoring them differently, and there is nothing to join and nobody to wait for.

Everything free stays free. The Weekly Clan Cup and the Clan Championship do not cost anything, ever, and the free Championship is the default. Clans will also have the option of paying for premium tickets to get even better prizes.

The dates

Nine weeks, start to finish. Here is the whole season on one chart.

Mon Sep 1 · today: Tag reservation opens. Claim a tag and design a crest. No clan required.

Mon Sep 7 · launch: Clans open, first Weekly Clan Cup. Create a clan, invite members, and you are ranked by Sunday.

Mon Sep 15 · week 2: Paid tournaments open. Entered from the treasury, winnings back into it.

Sat Sep 26 · month 1: First Clan Championship. One board, 48 hours, biggest prize of the month.

Sat Oct 31 · finale: Second Championship, Season 0 ends. Top eight into a bracket. Three crowns awarded Nov 1.

Founding Week

September 7 to September 14. Any clan that reaches five members inside that week keeps the Founding Clan badge — permanently, on the clan page and the board, and we never issue it again.

Clan XP is doubled for the whole week, so the clans that start early also start ahead.

It is the one thing in Season 0 you cannot earn by being good. Be here first, and you wear it forever.
